Caitlin Yates is a London-based menswear designer and founder of C8Y8S, an independent brand with a focus on print and textiles to portray personal narratives. Yates studies BA Fashion Design at University of Westminster, graduating in 2021 and has previous experience at MCQ, Alexander McQueen, ASAI TA and Martine Rose.

Yates is currently stocked at 50M London, based in Victoria, London and online. Her graduate collection will be released January 2021.

COTSWOLD LUVVIES

“Cotswold Luvvies” looks at the real life of the Cotswolds; destroying the assumed lifestyle and privilege of this hallowed land of middle England. The collection uses found materials such as fabric created from makeup wipes, pub memorabilia and up-cycled denim to create pieces that bring awareness to rural poverty issues that run throughout the area. Using clothing to break down hierarchal connotations associated with the area, through destruction of classed rules and regulations.
