Native to Cairo and currently based in the heart of Dubai, Maha Ahmed is a 30-year- old Fashion Designer helping all walks of life attain stunning, wearable works of art
that accentuates their authentic style. Even more, is one who holds a bold story of perseverance that proves despite unimaginable odds, anyone can translate their dreams into realities by leading with passion, recognizing their worth, and above all, never giving up.
Growing up around the beauty of Islamic and middle eastern art, Maha resonated more with a more global influence and approach to art. She began exploring the world of painting and ultimately fell in love. So much, that even after being pushed to earn a degree in Marketing and Global Communications to 'get a real job,' she still found herself basking in the arts and fashion arenas. However, simply being a part of a fashion PR agency was not enough; Maha craved to form her own dreams in this space rather than helping others build theirs. With that ignited flame, Maha enrolled at ESMOD Paris, but her journey came to a halt when Maha underwent the debilitating adversities of health challenges.
Though trapped inside her own mind, Maha's ambition to take back control of her happiness and future was stronger than the invisible force trying to keep her down. And after two long years, Maha finally regained her health, and with life offering a second chance at fashion design, she took it. Enrolled at the Institute Marangoni in Milan and graduating at the top of her class, Maha rekindled her passion for artistic fashion, found her voice in this industry, and has since shaped into a respected full- circle designer taking on the Dubai market. Her exposure and living in two major fashion capitals; Paris and Milan gave her a wider range of inspiration and voice compared to other middle eastern designers.
Overall, Maha knows how easy it can be to fall into the mundane life trap – too focused on making a living rather than actually living. She advocates that dreams don’t have to stay dreams and that anyone can create fruitful opportunity doors for themselves...now all you have to do is step through them.
