Womenswear Designer - MA Fashion Womenswear at the Royal College of Art, London - BA in Fashion Design at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, Arnhem. Anna Smit graduated from the Royal College of Art’s MA Fashion Womenswear course in 2011, after completing her BA degree in the Netherlands at the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in 2008. In 2007 she went to New York to gain work experience at Maria Cornejo’s label Zero + Maria Cornejo. Strong silhouettes, simplicity and construction are constant elements in Anna’s work. She has developed a passion for print since her most recent collection, next to an ongoing fascination for a new use of materials. Simplicity is always a fundamental theme, in terms of designing, pattern cutting and detailing; it often happens that garments consist out of one or two pieces only and are shaped by darts and folds.
