Collection 'MEADOWSWEET' is sophisticated yet contemporary, but in its essence to fit into both - natural landscapes and urban environments - symbolizing the changing flow of lifestyles.
The inspiration flower 'meadowsweet', which in a field looks like a yellow-white or visceral pink cloud, associatively forms the collection's visual references and shades of light and earthy tones.
The collection particularly highlights the natural values of author's homeland Latvia and enhances them in an irreplaceable handwork - material processing in original techniques (eco-print and natural dye) and crocheting. The design characteristics of the collection refers to 19th century French orientale fashion and the artistic movement Art Nouveau. It is a connection with forms borrowed from nature (plants and flowers) such as bell-shaped silhouette, contrastingly narrow part of the waist, decorative ornaments or volumes of details.
Resort collection MEADOWSWEET is a designer's conceptual research development - tracing interaction between nature and humans in urban environments. This intermediate design concept bridges the value levels of different cultural perspectives, for the most part - in times of trouble - moving towards a harmonious balance and power of nature gives us the experience of positive emotions, well-being and the development of one's potential. Visual interpretation is associated with the honeyed scent of meadow blossoms, which at the same time, behind a light and matte haze, keeps the main viewer as a secret - respecting its individual space.
