Anja Demuth

Anja Demuth is a German multidisciplinary designer focused on sculptural soft fashion design and material experimentation. She is currently based in Berlin and Ulm.

After an apprenticeship as a custom tailor for women, she began her studies at Pforzheim University - School of Design, where she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree with honors in fashion design. She then completed a Master's degree with distinction in textile and surface design at Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin in 2020.
During her studies in Weißensee, she was able to gain additional experience in product design with a focus on interactive surfaces.
Furthermore, she has had the exceptional opportunity to study in Japan for one semester which affected her significantly.

With her degree collection she won the La Biosthétique Prix d’Innovation, the Lucky Strike Junior Designer Award and the award of the Wilhelm-Lorch-Stiftung. Additionally, the degree collection got nominated for the national award Bayerischer Staatspreis.
From 2012 to 2015 she received the scholarship Deutschlandstipendium and in 2015 she received the scholarship of the Nagoya University in Japan.

She also worked a lot in teams during her studies with very good results. Furthermore, she worked at HUGO BOSS in the concept team and at BMW in the color&trim department.

Since September 2020 she is working as a lecturer and teaches the subjects CAD in fashion and experimental design. At the same time, she is enrolled at the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin to continue her academic career.
