Andreina Jimenez is a New York City Fashion Designer. From a young age, Jimenez could be found sketching designs, sewing and wearing the latest trends. She graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA and has interned for contemporary high-end companies like Honor and RHIÉ to name a few. She also had the opportunity to study for a year in Milan where she learned the importance of developing a collection and her experience of traveling Europe open her eyes to see beyond fashion. Jimenez also learned in her trip to be inspired by new culture, a new lifestyle that led her to never leave her house without a camera and a sketchbook to translate her everyday experiences to the fashion world.
Jimenez was chosen to participate in the Art specialization for her associate degree and has been in the dean list for her Associates and BFA Degree.

Latest Collection

Collection

This collection was inspired by surgery after WWI. During that time, plastic surgery became very popular among soldier because they ended up losing their arms, legs, and part of their faces. Having a reconstructive surgery was the solution to be accepted back in society.
The idea behind this collection is to show that when you try to put in pieces back together it never goes back to its original form, but instead forms a new dimension. In a very clean and sophisticated way, the collection focused on details like button holes used to make different functions along straps that represent the reconstructions, pain and the stitches people submitted themselves after the war.
