As a highly observant individual, Amy Lillian takes inspiration from the everyday things
people often overlook. This is then translated into a diverse collection of hand developed
textures and prints. Her work explores the use of the individual hand to create unique
finishes and pattern through the use of a variety of mediums such as screen printing,
foiling, hand panting and digital printing. The silhouettes vary as Amy Lillian uses drape to
form her garment structures, creating interesting and original shapes and fits that can
translate into garments and swimwear. Using the inspiration from the urban and the
coastal environment, Amy Lillian creates garments that can be transformable between
these two spaces and can belong and a variety of situations and environments.
