AMBAR STUDIO is a Romanian based womenswear label, born out of the love for design, craftsmanship, quality, detail and inspired by the modern power-woman

Founder and designer Alexandra Barbu is an Architect, interior, product and jewelry designer, being educated with a high spirit for design and sense for detail. Her background has a decisive role in the concept and production of the brand.

We are proud to say we design and produce every piece of clothing in our Atelier in Romania. We own our own mono-brand store in the heart of Bucharest (22 Ion Campineanu, Bucharest, Romania).
We put a great deal on the quality, design and sustainability of our products. We believe and slow fashion and we create high quality clothing that can become heirloom and can be passed to the next generation.

At the moment we have 5 Collections:
• Evening
• Casual
• Bridal
• Eco Sustainable Casual wear (made entirely out of certified organic cotton)
• Children’s Collection (will be launched in 1 week)

We are planning by the end of the year to add 2 more Lines:
• Sustainable knitwear for women, men and children (cashmere and wool)
• Activewear for women (yoga, pilates, running, swimming)

THE NEW Ambar Studio EVENING COLLECTION is inspired by the modern power-woman. THIS COLLECTION WAS PRESENTED AT PARIS FASHION WEEK.
our modern fairytale collection was thought as a perfect mixture to represent both the power and the fragility of women. women that are courageous, who pursue their dreams, careers and find time for their families. these amazing women are our mothers, sisters, friends. they are the women that make the world a better place.

We believe that every woman is unique and so we chose to create different styles that empower the modern woman focusing on both her power and her femininity : from contemporary evening dresses, two or three piece suits, off shoulders or sweetheart corset gowns, princess evening dresses, vintage 20s inspired fringe dresses, corseted bodices, one shoulder evening dress, draped wrap dresses, modern romance inspired, ostrich feather embellished, long sleeves bohemian dresses or simple A line lace dresses with a twist.

Our evening dresses are versatile and can be worn on many occasions such as: evening cocktail dresses, civil wedding dresses, summer party dresses, graduation dresses, prom dresses, beach wedding dresses, bridal shower, baptism dress, mother of the bride or groom

We put a great deal of attention on quality, design, craftsmanship and sustainability. Every dress is entirely created and produced in out atelier in Romania. All our evening gowns are hand crafted and all embroideries are hand-sewn. We use only quality fabrics (most of them custom): hand embroidery, silk, cotton, velvet.
