All Comes From Nothing (ACFN) is contemporary women’s wear created by artist and designer Eva Xu. ACFN is dedicated to women with creative lifestyles.

THE WOMAN

The ACFN woman creates for life. Fashion is an accomplice, not her calling card.

THE DESIGN

Inspired by minimalism and the Chinese philosophy of simplicity, ACFN designs combine the draping found in natural fabrics with geometric shapes, creating versatile and unique looks. Each piece yields to the individual, allowing her inner identity to shine.

LIGHT, AIR, THE COLOUR OF SKY

ALL COMES FROM NOTHING SS17 collection is inspired by contemporary American artist
James Turell installation art piece "Skyspace". Before designing ACFN SS17 collection, designer Eva has visited James Turell’s “Sky Space” in New York, Los Angeles and Beijing. Observing from the inside of the structure, you will find pure blue sky becomes almost a two-dimensional virtual screen-- only when a flock of birds or clouds flying by, you will
realize that really it is the sky itself. Eva recorded the shades of blue, dusky pink, darken black and dawn white as the main color story of Spring and Summer 2017.In addition, Eva specially customized jacquards in clouds pattern to represent the clouds. She saw in the “sky space”. The light travels, through the gap between the lines of burnout, projects on skin, created patterns with light and shadow. As a big fan of Turell’s work, Eva’s representations brings softness touch from a dedicated and feminine point of view.
