Driven by the passion for timelessly artistic designs combined with her concern regarding the increasingly negative environmental and societal impact of fashion, Alexandra decided to launch her own fashion label in London in 2016.

Her dream is to create unique garments with long lasting value to their owner while respecting people and planet in the process. Every piece is designed to be both timeless and truly special and offers the wearer ample scope for expressing personal style, as well as stepping out of the loop of fast fashion by owning a piece which embodies true quality and longevity. Thanks to Alexandra's background in dressmaking and patternmaking, high craftsmanship and superior quality are at the heart of her work.

Alexandra keeps things small and her designs are manufactured in London in small runs of each collection (max. two collections a year) to minimise waste and overproduction, and unused fabrics procured for prior collections (known as deadstock) are being re-used to avoid landfill.

As a vegetarian, Alexandra's collections are produced without the use of leather, fur or silk for animal welfare reasons and wool is only sourced from controlled biological animal husbandry. She works towards further integration of sustainable fabrics into her designs. The fabrics are mainly purchased from French and German mills.

For her most recent collection AK006 – Wanderlust, the share of styles made from polyester has been reduced by 80%, with a 100% target for the next collection.
