My Approach To Menswear Design Comprises Of A Pragmatic Aesthetic Whilst Incorporating All The Formalities Of Traditional Menswear. Fabrication Is A Key Element In My Collection. I Have Focused On High Contrast Printed Wool Suiting, Woven Grey Mélange Wool, Silk Twill, And Reworked Vintage Astrakhan Fur And Sapphire Grey Mink In Shades Of Grey With A Subtle Accent Of Mandarin Orange. The Yarn I Have Used Is A Mixture Of Super Kid Mohair, Wool/Cashmere And Silk Blend Yarn And Very Fine Italian Merino Wool.

All Of The Fabrication That Has Been Used Within My Collection Emulates A Super Lux Feel. The Basis Of My Silhouette Derives From World War One Pilots’ Military Uniform Whilst Exploring The Concept Of Restraining Movement Through Strapping. I Have Been Inspired By The Work Of Pierre Solanges And Christo Through Their Graphic Approach To Strapping And Fastening A Canvas Or A Landscape.

I Have Focused On Pixilated Mountain Imagery In Greyscale. I Find The Texture Of The Rock And The Snow Inspirational, This Resonates In My Knitwear Through A Check Board Pattern Of Different Scale And Stitches. I Explored This Concept Further By Incorporating Astrakhan Fur Into A Hand Knit Sweater.

I Have Achieved A Minimalist Look With A Subtle Attention To Detail.
