ALESSANDROMENGOZZI

Alessandro Mengozzi was born in Forlì in 1986. Since he was a child, he always has been fascinated by art and so he attended the G. Ballardini Institute of Art, based in Faenza (Italy) where he totally understood who he was (and is) and who he wanted to became. At the same time, he attended a fashion design course with Germano Zama as teacher: that meeting was absolutely helpful to start to focus on that new passion for him: Fashion. After the graduation, he decides to move to Milan and to practice on it, attendind the 3 years course of fashion design at the Marangoni fashion Institute, where he finally learns everything and realizes his ideas. He ends studies in 2009 year with the graduation's cerymony and with the final fashion show of all Marangoni's students. He begins to work as freelance fashion designer for different brands, but the real beginning is with the launch of his own collection of ornamental and scenic hats (bringing his name). Making the fusion of his passion of art and passion of fashion, he takes inspiration from the nature expressing everything with a dark view that is constantly his first property. He sets up his label IAM as well, and he realizes his first collection as a new young designer, showing to people his streetwear view (that will be on sale from summer 2011)
