Akire By Erika Sciortino

Erika Sciortino, fashion deisgner and fashion stylist, was born on May/11/1992.
In 2014 she graduated from BA in Fashion Design with 110/110 at IED University, Milan. Erika developed a strong interest in the relationship between body and dress, and the art of exploring the nexus between constriction and freedom. She has been selected to participate at IED and Swiss Cross Textile Award 2014 for which she made an outfit with fabric provided by Swiss excellence companies for the show at the Swiss consulate in June 2014.
Erika has already extensive professional experience as a fashion stylist, working for such publications as Fucking Young, River Magazine, Vacuum Magazine, Gun I' Homme Magazine.
Erika's capsule collection 'Secret Life' emerged from the concept of bulimia and from the constriction of the body. The collection investigate the condition of female body in an uncomfortable situation, and the feeling that she have when her body could be free, this append through seven steps, which are the seven steps that travels during a process of recovery from bulimia.
