Biography
1997 — Becomes a student at Otis College of Art and Design Los Angeles
1999 — Becomes associate-designer at Richard Tyler, designing the women pants division
2000 — Enters multi-brand company, Liz Claiborne creating for DKNY Jeans
2001 — Launches on the American fashion market the fashion label Adrian Oianu with showroom rep. in Los Angeles, New York, Dallas, Miami and San Francisco
2002 — Designs at Liz Claiborne — the Laun dry — contemporary fashion for women
2006 — opens his personal workshop in Romania and launches a new fashion label on the market — Adrian Oianu in the same time with his first collection — “I live again” in June;
- brings for the first time in Romania the concept of “fashion films” projected through 3 short movies — “Contemporary Moods”, a fusion between video-art and fashion design
2007 - launches 4 collections - Cinecitta (March), Juvenification (June), The Beat (October), Limited Edition I (December)
- for "The Beat" Collection, he launches the "virtual print" on his own dresses
2008 - launches 4 new collections : No 10 (June), Resort Collection (August), No 11 — the Teacher (October) and Limited Edition II (December)
2009 - is invited by the French Embassy to show his new collection, among the French designer, Richard Rene, in Bucharest/Paris Pasarela Festival.
Bucharest/Paris Pasarela Festival is an event organized by the French Embassy.
In 2009, French fashion representatives, such as Mr. Didier Grumbach, were invited to the festival.
- in December, Oianu shows, for the first time in Romania, 3D Prints on silk, during 153 DTMJ Collection Fashion Show, which could be seen with special 3D Glasses.
