This is a collection is devoted to women, inspired by an individual style with a unique look. It is aimed towards a contemporary professional woman, conscious about contemporary Trends and Arts.
The main concept is inspired by Ibiza’s folklore, her hometown, fused together with Constructivist theories.
The smocking technique is the basis to her inspiration, since it has made it possible to combine both a Structural approach- emphasizing the dominant geometry of a garment- and a Deconstructive aspect, in the way the shapes return to a more minimal, austere appearance.
Her intention is to unify and dominate all the subaltern elements referring to “pure shapes” as Constructivist compositions. An idea of modern geometry conceptualized both as a minimal and as a general form vibrant and highly detailed in specific areas of the garment. Therefore, by starting from a pure shape such as a rectangle of material and transforming it with the smocking technique, we can obtain a fluid shape.
´I have started from a rectangular shape, creating a pattern with the smocking technique, which makes the silhouette follow different directions each time. That is why on some models we can appreciate an upwards direction or a downwards direction. In other cases, it is simply folded aside, creating a completely different silhouette and fold.´
