Originally from St. Ann, Jamaica, with Puerto Rican roots, she inherits a rich artistic legacy as the daughter of Champayne Clarke González and the late Christopher Francis González, OD, a distinguished fine artist/ sculptor. Early exposure to the performing arts through her mother's CANA dance ensemble, dancing alongside her three sisters, along with participation in various visual and performing arts competitions, ignited her passion for creativity.

Studying at St. Hilda’s Diocesan High School for Girls, Abenah deepened her passions, acting as Art Club president and engaging in dance with groups like Uzuri International and Latin cabaret ensemble, Hah-R-Mony.

Her modelling career started at Pulse World 360, a leading Caribbean agency. Notable appearances on 'Mission Catwalk' and in the 'Love Yuh Bad' music video, viewed 12 million times, brought her to prominence. In 2016, she excelled in pageantry, winning titles like ‘Star of the Runway’ and ‘Best in Swimwear’ at Miss Jamaica North East, and the people’s choice award for ‘Lasco iCool Best in Swimwear’ at Miss Universe Jamaica.

Recognised for her innovative fashion designs, she represented Jamaica at the International Fashion Showcase during London Fashion Week in 2014, selected by JBDC, the British Council, and British Fashion Council. Her vibrant creations, highlighting Afro-Caribbean resort/ swimwear, earned accolades, placing Jamaica prominently on the global fashion stage and garnering her international recognition.

Abenah pursued higher education at the University of the Arts London: Central Saint Martins, emerging as the inaugural Jamaican fashion and textiles graduate. Armed with a bachelor’s degree in Textile Design and a Diploma in Professional Studies in fashion and textiles, she interned and worked on projects for luxury fashion houses, start-up fashion brands, textile studios, and celebrity fashion stylists, solidifying her status as a trailblazer in the field. She then became the author of a series of self-help books focused on personal style and the fashion industry.

Transitioning into music as her alter ego 'Bad Bena', she entered the realms of rap and Jamaican dancehall, collaborating with acclaimed producer Hot Money and legends like Bounty Killer, achieving global recognition.

Planning to relaunch her fashion line, Abenah continues to make a lasting impact in in her field.
