Following an unconventional graduate year, limited by the outbreak of a global pandemic, I have completed my BA Hons Fashion Design graduate collection and become a finalist in the Offcut London Virtual Fashion show in partnership with Not Just A Label.

With internship experience in content creation for social media platforms, I focus on and carefully consider aesthetics in order to attract attention. I believe the concept of fashion is not limited to aesthetics alone and I am interested in how the industries influential powers can be utilised to convey a message through design.

As a young designer, starting my career, I am looking to travel and explore the fashion industry.

THE UGLY TRUTH

The Ugly Truth is an Autumn/Winter street style collection aiming to give a voice to the African child soldier crisis. Informed by Peclers Paris trend predictions, the collection uses striking colours to grab attention with a selection of warming tones for a balanced aesthetic. The design brings utility details to everyday wear, while the print design tells the stories of child soldiers, Agnes and Lionel, in their own words. The fabrics have been selected with 'cosy protection' in mind, mixing soft fibres like plush velvet and neoprene fleece while the feeling of protection comes from leatherettes and thickened puffer coat wadding.
