Wilson PK’s SS16’ collection “PARADISE LOST” is inspired by the epic Italian poem “Divine Comedy" contrasted with Art Deco Christianity. Inspiration portrays the roller coaster ride of his religious belief, soaked in the psychedelic romance of his work. Wilson tears the cubic side of Art Deco apart with a minimal surrealistic approach by using waves of texture and colour, to create this effortlessly stunning Spring/Summer collection.
The collection features invisible yarn mixed cotton knit tops, flare pants and cocktail/floor length dresses. Wilson has teamed up with Stoll electronic knit to create this unique knitwear that combine Italian 100% cotton & invisible yarn which allow the garment to be inserted with laser cut marble reflective acrylic & Art-Deco beads. The laser cutting is supported by FABBERZ LONDON which is collaborating with Wilson this season to create the unique & luxury laser cut items for this collection. The crystallise Power Suit and unzippable long coat that can be functionally transformed into a wrap skirt and waistcoat are also included in this collection, alongside with the elegant heat press gem stone jumpsuit, batwing top & cocktail dress.
Key colours include vanilla cream, emerald green, lipstick pink, peach and Tangerine. Accented by metallic hues and marble patterns, colour inspiration is clashed with structured monotones.
