Sunyata Space was established in 2017, Ukraine by Aya Makievskaya.

We create unique wear & accessories with antique homespun linen, hemp, nettle fabrics & wool of the 19th century.

Mainly we use natural fabrics like flax, hemp, nettle & wool. Our masters work by hands only, making stitches manually.

We develop ancient techniques of sewing, japanese embroidery, dyeing fabrics, creating oversize clothes in eco-archaic futurism & minimalism style.

Our philosophy is based on exploring simple forms & functionality of natural world transforming them into conceptual garments with original cuts.

Brand's name is inspired by the buddhism concept of voidness phenomena, which states that "emptiness is the form, form is the emptiness".

We are using ancient japanese techniques of dotted embroidery, dyeing fabrics - sashiko & shibori.

All ornaments that we embroider are sacred, geometric. Each of clothes heals.

Working with textile is like a meditation, therefore thorough and unhurried.

Inspired by nature, simplicity and harmony of the Japanese aesthetics "yugen" & "avare", breathing tescil, free cut, mysticism of dancing tissue on the body.
