Ruta Reifen Jewelry

Ruta Reifen, born in Jerusalem, Israel, 1984.
Received honors B.Design in Jewelry Design from Shenkar College of Design, Israel, 2009. In 2011 she received an honors MFA from the Jewelry + Metals department at the Rhode Island School of Design.
Ruta keeps her own jewelry studio practice in the Brooklyn Navy Yard since 2011 and launched her commercial line Ruta Reifen Jewelry in summer of 2014.
Ruta hand makes every piece before it land in a beautiful woman’s possession.
Ruta’s artwork represented with Sienna Patti Contemporary, MA, her work has shown in Israel, Europe, the United States, and is part of the permanent collection at Museum of Art and Design, NY, and Penland Gallery, NC and shown at the Museum of Contemporary Craft, OR.
Ruta is the co-founder of Platforma, a curatorial initiative that promotes contemporary art jewelry in alternative presentations, to expand a collecting audience.
Ruta’s teaching experience include Rhode Island School of Design (Providence, RI), School of Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA), Pratt Institute (Brooklyn, NY), Shenkar College of Engineering & Design (Israel), 92nd Street Y (Manhattan, NY), Brooklyn Metal Works (Brooklyn, NY) and Penland School of Crafts (Penland, NC).
