Quattrocento is a contemporary eyewear brand based in Milan. Its mission is to sell high quality glasses, both optical and sunglasses, for a revolutionary price. In-house designing and producing and avoiding traditional sales channels allow the brand to propose customers eyewear for 115€ including prescription lenses and shipping costs – 100% made in Italy.

Italian Renaissance is the brand’s most important inspiration. Its sense for aesthetics, art and innovation led to a rebellious spirit that Quattrocento reinterpreted and translated into their products as Pop Renaissance. Giotto Bondone is considered to be the very first contemporary artist of the Italian Renaissance. Besides being an outstanding painter and architect from Florence, he was a rebel. His fresh and modern approach influenced and changed art forever. Quattrocento wants to change the eyewear market in the same way.

The brand's core is about balancing tradition and innovation. One aspect reflecting this approach is production and the choice of materials: custom-made acetate by Mazzucchelli, a historic Italian Manufacturer gets combined with stainless steel laser cut.

Sharon Ezra, designer and product manager, fell in love with traditional Italian tailoring techniques and manufacturing. Eugenio Pugliese, business developer, grew up surrounded by eyewear, since his family owned an optical shop. A combination of both their influences leads to a common vision of offering finest Italian eyewear at reasonable prices.

Especially technology has changed purchasing behaviours and consumers today are much more conscious of products and their origins. Quattrocento is part of this revolution. Soon two new features that support customers in their decision making process will enrich the website – Virtual Try-On & Paper Try-On.
