Elise Kim is an Amsterdam based womenswear and accessories brand founded in 2010 by designer Elise Kim. Elise was born in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam in 1986. At 16, she left her country to study high school in Toronto, Canada. After high school, Elise Kim studied at Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Amsterdam Fashion Institute in Amsterdam and Central Saint Martins in London. She graduated in 2010 at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.

After graduating, Elise Kim was granted the BKVB Funding to start her own brand. Elise Kim is defined by the combination of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Deriving from an inner source, each collection comes from the pure origin of Elise. Inspiration drawn from memories and everyday life is combined with an emphasis on tailoring, graphic shapes and the use of her unique designed fabrics.

In October 2011, several pieces of the A/W'11 and S/S'12 collection were used during episode 6 in Holland's Next Top Model 2011. In the same month, Elise Kim has won the White Swan competition organized by Carnet de Mode in Paris. The price includes a spread in the renowned magazine Madame Le Figaro, a fashion show and online shop at Carnet de Mode. Furthermore, Elise Kim is nominated for the upcoming talents category of the Viva 400 in The Netherlands.

In November 2011, Elise presented her A/W'11 & S/S'12 at Galerie Joseph in Paris. Later in November, Elise was granted the BKVB Funding for the 2nd time to support her brand.

On 26th January 2012, Grazia magazine sponsored her show A/W'12 at Amsterdam Fashion Week.

Elise Kim will present her A/W'12 collection at the prestigious Tranoi tradeshow in Paris from 2 to 5 March 2012.
