It is a self-recycle design between the winery industry and the fashion industry. Grape pomace is the common waste in the winery industry, including grape seed and grape peel. The project uses grapeseed oil (one of the ingredients) and grape peel (natural colors) to realize the zero-waste design on alginate bio-textiles for haute couture. The project design is inspired by Dior. Alginate-CMC yarn and Alginate grapeseed oil foil are used for textile weaving and blossom embroidery, which is easy to be recycled by calcium ion chelator and biodegraded in water or ocean.
