All Material Comes From the Earth is a site-specific performance and wearable art piece installation inspired by the mango groves. This time based work consists of ten handmade unique upcycled outfits, presented outdoors on the grounds of the Deering Estate. The work begins with a runway, in which models wear the outfits, before undressing and hanging them from trees. While suspended, the garments are exposed to the elements, to wear, discolor, and altogether transform into different objects entirely through natural processes.
