Kraken

Kraken

We took inspiration from the legend of the Kraken, particularly the 1830 sonnet by Alfred Tennyson. The notion of a terrifying creature lying unnoticed in the ocean depths was something of an influence. We wanted each piece to have a certain subtlety, particularly in the way it interacts with the wearer. In a sense, each Percival Luto piece is hidden in plain sight, with that subtlety of form belying a dynamic sense of motion, subtle detail and the quiet malevolence of a deep sea monster.
