It disAppeared into complete silence

‘’It Disappeared into Complete Silence’’ is a tribute to Haute Couture which critiques the over-production and loss of value in today’s fashion industry, by remembering the past and dreaming of a future. In this collection Oilily Verbeek pairs the memory of La Belle Epoque (i.e. the birth of mass-production and the rise of the middle class) and the eccentric counter-movement Can Can,
with a dream to rewrite the future in the fields of Monet, where craftsmanship and value is restored to the fashion industry.
