The collection ‘Peeling Garments’ takes aesthetics from layers of peeling wallpapers, merging the flatness of the wall with the decorative surface or the flat garment with the surface print. By using printing to create form, the element of print becomes integrated into the process of garment-making. The peeling wallpaper motif is extremely meaningful as it is how I view people: as multiple layers peeling over time, revealing themselves to the world.
