Two women from different places sing a song- my British grandmother and my Indian Goan grandma- one with her little son, seated in a victorian gown and the other on her wedding day, in a resplendent cloud of tulle- it is a song of love and joy.
Photos of the two inspired the collection, from the silhouettes to the drapery, a fusion of Indo -Portuguese sensibilities and Victorian-Scottish sensibilities with a disregard for gender norms and constrictions make for this collection that leans towards sustainability a-la upcycled garments.
