My collection „Cape of Good Hope“ is inspired by Caspar David Friedrich´s painting „Das Eismeer“ from 1823.
I chose this pice of art because I have been fascinated by it since I saw it in the „Kunsthalle Hamburg“. It is a timeless piece which is both, depressing on one side, if you know its background and German title „Die gescheiterte Hoffnung“ and on the other side refreshing due to its colors and progressive from shapes.
