‘SOLITUDE’ taking inspiration from the solitude of soldiers; initially inspired from 30 years of civil war in Sri Lanka. The main intention was to give a new interpretation to the military uniform combined with civilian clothing. Details are extracted from World War II military uniforms & textile details to symbolize the conflict of the soldier. The attire was designed to permit freedom of military formed from a combination of deconstructive pattern cutting infused with civilian functionality; to permit the wearer to stand out from the crowd, while having a certain element of humanity.
