The inspiration for the Imaatu spring/summer 2023 collection are Amazons, female Gladiators, and Vikings. Historically, their way of life has rarely been considered relevant in matriarchy. The example of the Viking grave in Birka, Sweden shows how little we deal with this theme of our history. The marble relief from Halicarnassus in the British Museum is a monument to the legendary battle between the Amazon and Achillia. It is one of the most important pieces of evidence for the existence of female gladiators.
