The experience of being an Iranian woman, living under difficult social and theological structures has shaped my design identity throughout my previous collections and this collection. This sustainable collection, “celebratory lines” is my acknowledgment to little yet significant freedoms that women under pressure make for themselves through subverting, or negotiating with borders of power.
