Press Release- The SS14 collection 'Nigredo E'poche' is entitled to be a play on word of 'La Belle Époque'. Nigredo or blackening is a prerequisite to personal development. It can be interpreted as a metaphor for one’s increased awareness of the ego, unawareness and detachment from instinct and the first step in making the unconscious self conscious. 'Époque' has been re constructed to have the hyphen after the E in order to combine both the French (Époque) and Greek (Epoch') meaning into one.
