'Slashing Nightmare' is based on the passing of a dear friend of mine and how my nightmare foreshadowed her death. The overwhelming feelings of being captivated in this nightmare and not being able to escape, tangled me in thoughts of death and misery. All of these sentiments are conveyed through the treatments that I have developed. The leather becomes a symbol of skin and it describes how I feel in my own. The 'slashing' of the leather takes a big part in my collection as it describes how I am hurting and feel like being cut open.
