Illusions of lace draws inspiration from taking sustainable and up-cycled fabrics in order to recreate the delicate and luxurious aesthetic of lace in a contemporary way. Digital draping was the main source of inspiration for the aesthetic, as it is an interesting way of playing with scale over the body. The fabrics used are bamboo, up-cycled leather and tencel. The final outcomes are modern luxury garments that take into account their environmental impact. This collection was shown as a film at Vauxhall Fashion Scout as part of the Kingston University MA show, sponsored by Incrops.
