My debut Capsule Collection 'Babushka' draws upon inspiration from my russian heritage and their cultur; intertwined with how my family were and continue to be affected by the chernobyl nuclear disaster. The Capsule combines unique silhouettes with a utility aesthetic, focusing in on fashion forward detailing as well as bringing attention to finishings throughout every garment. It provokes an experimental approach to presenting shirts around the head as headscarves, paired with pleated leather faced skirts; an unconventional staple to my menswear collection.
