Cubist elements intertwined with African tribal traditions have stimulated this collection. From Cubism, Manyanga was inspired by the use of multiple perspectives through geometric shapes, as well as Synthetic cubism. It incorporates the idea of collaging by combining objects from everyday life and print media to create a sense of reality.
