Amelia Louise Stephenson

A freelance designer specialising in women’s intimate apparel and swimwear, I am currently based in London. Since graduating in 2017 from London College of Fashion I have already started working with multiple start up companies, assisting them in designing and pattern cutting their capsule collections to launch their brands. Within my own personal work I aim to feature innovative designs incorporating elements of fetish fashion as a way to dip your toe into the world of BDSM. The garments; designed to be layered upon one another, through the use of sheer fabrics layered with harness style pieces, aim to tease. Taking major influence from the lingerie as outerwear trend that is so popular within the current lingerie market, each piece is made to be seen, whether suggestively peeking through from under your work wear or styled as outerwear. With my knowledge gained from working for brands such as Agent Provocateur, Graessl Studios, Dalga & Nichole de Carle to name but a few, I hope to successfully develop a career within the lingerie industry.

I have been very privileged to have had the opportunity to partake in multiple charity events and to be invited to showcase as part of the Portobello Young Designers launch, showcasing the wealth of young talent in London and creating a platform for collaboration and conversation between young creative’s. I was also honoured to be nominated and be awarded runner up in The Rising Star category at the UK Lingerie Awards 2016 as well as coming 2nd place in The Link award 2017. Through these awards I have been able to create many strong connections with people within the industry as well as being featured within multiple publications including The Evening Standard, Covert Magazine & The Lingerie magazine.
