The name of the collection comes from the word "market" which means a place under the open sky where trade is carried out, and the word "herbarium" which means a collection of dried flowers. The herbarium of my collection is not filled with flowers but with motifs that I found at the market and incorporated into my design as a combination of tradition and novelty. I got the inspiration for this name while photographing people at markets, whom I managed to get to know by name, research about what they wear, how many layers they wear, what the most common materials of those clothes are and such. That's why I gave my clothes the names of ladies from the streets, and for my collection I used materials that they usually wear. I found the inspiration for shape, colors, textures and materials among these people, and incorporated the elements into my design. I gave weight to my knitted dresses with a material that directly represents the weight, demandingness and dedication of work at the market. A warm winter jacket is one of the indispensable items that I saw at the market, as well as overalls, pants and a jacket, but for my design I added a fashion moment to show that inspiration for this kind of collection can be gathered in places that we don't like to watch by heart, which we often take for granted. Through this project, I want to glorify something that I have been familiar with from a young age, namely the grandmothers from the market and their hardworking hands, who were more than willing to cooperate during the filming of this collection at the Osijek market. For this reason, I placed my creations where I found inspiration for creation, and incorporated elements of the market such as vegetables, fruit, forklifts for transporting goods, flowers and other elements which I did not use specifically in the design of clothing pieces but which served to tell this story in a more interesting and concrete way.
