Lucrezia de Fazio (Rome, 1993) visual artist who works through drawing, installation, photography and performance, researching in the field of motherhood, intimacy and desire.
The female body is a recurring element in Lucrezia's work; as a subject to be desexualized, self-represented and as a witness to the alternation between pain and pleasure, violence and tenderness.
Lucrezia graduated from Central Saint Martins, London. She participated in different artist residencies and exhibited at international art fairs such as MIART, Roma Arte in Nuvola, Salón Acme, FAMA Monterrey, among others. In October 2022 she premiered the performance piece 'HYMN' in the context of the Italian Institute of Culture in Mexico City under the curatorship of Matteo Binci.
In February 2024 she inaugurated her individual exhibition 'Mothers, Monsters and Machines. Act II: Nudos' at Galeria N.A.S.A.L curated by Matteo Binci and the installation 'Llantos' at the Italian Institute of Culture in Mexico City.
Her recent exhibitions include: II Anniversary Group Show at Galeria N.A.S.A.L, November 2023; the performance 'Cantos' at the N.A.S.A.L Gallery, November 2023; ‘Forma’, FAMA Monterrey, October 2023; and 'Sinestesie', Venice Design Week, October 2023.
Lucrezia is co-founder of the artist jewelry project 15A STUDIO. She lives and works in Mexico City.
