I consider the human SOUL as anti-aesthetic with imperfect and changing forms that lies in the nature of every living specie, in their invisible identity. It is the essence that gives matter to life making it beautiful.
Concepts such as the invisible, the spontaneous, the unrepeatable, the little mistake that defines the imperfection but at the same time beautifying the existence of matter making it a unique piece. I translate them to the garment through the use of materials such as organza or cotton voile for me they symbolize the fragility, transparency and softness of the SOUL that surrounds every being.
My intention was to capture the vivid nature through of different dyes in order to immortalize its spontaneous dynamic and organic in the fabric.
The use of materials such as fiberglass, and especially its discomfort with the contact of the skin, to me symbolizes the beauty and fragility of something that has to adapt to your body without you choosing it. This is unrepeatable,
ephemeral and fragile but at the same time beautiful, transparent and unique.
The pattern of the tree without flowers, branches, the skeleton, represents for me the symbol of the fragility of life, originating from nature, translate to the garment as the articulation effect in the human body. We are nature.
The details of hidden buttons, or likewise, the fact of suddenly finding one bigger than the rest, symbolize the designed imperfection and at the same time the beauty of spontaneity, where small objects and details become unique, special and unrepeatable ... like every SOUL (ALMA).
