This collection references my home province, Saskatchewan. The title, "Ribbons" refers to the ribbons of colour when the sun sets and rises, hence the colours of the collection. All garments are made from recycled materials; anything from old tablecloths and linens to deadstock silks. The linens in particular were used to invoke that feeling of being on the prairies. The domestic and rural life, and the nostalgia that is invoked when surrounded by farmland. I have used various surface design applications to take that sense of history and spin it to a modern sensibility.
